4.4 Purpose of Extension Data Use
Any data collected or accessed by the extension is used only to:
- provide requested extension functionality
- process text content as necessary to provide grammar checking and writing assistance
- improve extension stability, performance, and reliability
- diagnose and fix bugs or service errors
4.5 Permissions Usage
The extension requests only permissions necessary for its functionality:
- tabs: used to identify and interact with the currently active tab
- storage: used to store preferences, settings, and local extension state
The extension may require access to multiple websites ("<all_urls>") in order to provide grammar checking functionality across different web pages where users interact with text.
These permissions are not used to track browsing history or collect data unrelated to the extension’s functionality.
To provide grammar checking functionality, relevant text content may be securely transmitted to Lisan servers for processing and analysis.

4.7 Extension Data Retention

- disable or uninstall the extension
- request deletion of their data by contacting us

The Lisan Chrome Extension is designed so that:

This may involve accessing and analyzing text content present on the page.

5- Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell user data.
